OUR FUTURE

The future of Grace Baptist Church of Arlington, Texas can be viewed in the same way we outline our annual budget:

1. Ministry & Missions:

We will continue to obey Christ’s Great Commission as we focus on relationships; with God, with one another, and non-believing people in this world.  As we grow in numbers we are committed to adding new ministries that compliment the SHAPE (Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, Experiences) of the people God brings to Grace Baptist Church. 

Examples of future planning include:

  • An Acts 1:8 missions strategy
  • Spiritual leadership development
  • Increased age divisions for preschool through youth
  • Small group shepherding strategy (no one is left alone)
  • Increased equipping for motivated learners
  • Off campus training for ministry leadership
  • Potential weekday program for preschool or children
  • Wednesday ministry (meals + programming for all age groups)
  • Special Evangelistic Events
  • Sunday transportation ministry

2. Personnel - based on Ministry & Missions needs, we will:

  • equip all believers (members) to fulfill their God-given ministry purpose
  • equip and train model servants (deacons) to take care of the physical needs, preserve unity in the church, and assist pastors in shepherding the church
  • seek out and call capable staff as needs arise and resources are available.

3. Support - based on Ministry & Missions plus Personnel capabilities, we will:

Support our possibilities with necessary materials and facilities to meet those needs.

In March of 2007 our church hired a consultant from the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention to help us master plan our 3.5 acres.  Should we follow the consultant’s recommendation we would expand facilities in the following ways:

  • Building #1
    Service building for education & offices, central restrooms, and storage (south of current facility) 
  • Building #2
    Multi-purpose facility for worship, education, recreation, and fellowship (south of planned Building #1)
  • Parking lots
    The area west of the planned buildings will be the main parking lot.
