OUR STORY - The Present
The Vision Of Grace Baptist Church
In the fall of 2006 our church began focusing on Christ’s Great Commission.

Below is a diagram which summarizes the church’s current vision based on Christ’s Great Commission:

Our goal is to be obedient in all three parts of Christ’s Great Commission.
The People of Grace Baptist Church
We believe every member is a minister of the Lord; each person is designed by God to fulfill an eternal purpose. Grace Baptist is committed to help people who already belong (members) and those who do not yet belong (new people). Below is a summary of how we see people, based on the Bible’s familiar image of the people of God as “His Sheep” (see Psalm 23):

Grace Baptist believes the ministry focuses of the church are equipping the congregation (God’s flock) to reach new people for Christ. Deacons minister to and provide models for God’s flock to fulfill their godly purposes. Pastors provide direction that supports and nourishes God’s flock to fulfill their godly purposes.
The Support System of Grace Baptist Church
Resources are tools to support God’s people in fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission.
Our New Location: in January 2007, Grace Baptist signed a contract with a local congregation to obtain their facilities on Green Oaks Blvd. The property is 3.5 acres of prime real estate that allows for expansion. On April 1st, the church held its first service at the new location with a new name, Grace Baptist Church.
Our Support System: we ask our members and regular attendees to support our annual budget, which is divided into 3 areas:
- Ministry and Missions: our Great Commission goals for any particular year
- Personnel: the paid staff needed to fulfill the mission
- Support: funding properties and materials to enable people ministry
In 2006 our church celebrated its 50th anniversary. One of our charter members compiled information and wrote a document celebrating the church’s first 50 years of ministry. Click on the following link to view the document.
