THE (CORE) "BELIEFS"
of Grace Baptist Church

Beliefs, expressed by biblical doctrines (teachings), unify God’s church, not divide it.  Core or essential biblical teachings require unity.  Southern Baptists are blessed as a cooperating group to have published a document of core biblical beliefs.  This document is called the Baptist Faith and Message.  Grace Baptist Church agrees with this document and utilizes it to express essential beliefs for members of Grace Baptist Church.  To view this important document, click on the link below:

Do Grace Members agree on everything:  on core beliefs, “yes,” but on non-essential beliefs, “no.”  For example, we all agree that Jesus is coming back some day.  But on the “How, Where, and When” Jesus returns there is diversity of thought, and that diversity strengthens both understanding and relationships, not divide.

The “Practices” of Grace Baptist Church

The “Practices” of Grace Baptist Church are expressed by 4 words:

1. Mission
2. Structure
3. Purpose
4. Strategy

These 4 words are explored in detail in our Exploring Church Membership seminar.  To see our church’s mission, structure, purpose, and strategy on one page click here to view the vision chart.

We call our strategy to fulfill our mission, “A to Z.”  “A to Z” is a means to measure outward spiritual growth practices, similar to how parents measure their children’s exterior growth with growth charts (e.g. I mark my daughter’s head height periodically with a pencil mark on the wall).  Interior spiritual growth, similar to interior physical health, is not as easy to measure, because it depends on the person’s personal relationship (growth) with God.  While we cannot control a person’s interior spiritual growth, Grace Baptist does all it can to encourage it by  promoting good exterior practices.  To see an expanded version of “A to Z” click here.
