PERSONAL STATEMENT I am so glad you have chosen to visit our website. You mean so much to God; therefore you matter to us as well. I am honored to serve as pastor of Grace Baptist Church during this pivotal time in the church’s history. Having grown up and served on staff at First Baptist, Carrollton, Texas, under Dr. Wayne Allen, I experienced God’s saving grace and came to understand and appreciate the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. For the next 18 ½ years I served First Baptist / NorthRidge Church in Haines City, Florida. For seventeen of those years I served under Dr. Don Maiden, to whom I owe most of my leadership development experience. My last year and a half was under Dr. David Meyers who modeled the importance of people-ministry. From all these years of ministry, in only three different churches, I have gleaned a number of values, beliefs, and practices that have formed a foundation in leading Woodland West / Grace Baptist Church to her present stage. Whether you are experiencing Grace Baptist for the first time on this website or as a long-time church member, many desire to experience the pastor’s heart. I have prepared this web page for you to get to know “Pastor Jimmy.” The personality and direction of a church is usually not too far from the pastor’s. The documents below will give you an introduction (new people) or reminder (existing people) of where I am (beliefs & practices) and where I’ve come from (biographical).
